Introduction
Following months of planning, arrays of costume designs, and materials meticulously hand-picked by Christy, the founder herself, BAAGUS proudly presents its new series – Dance with Curtain. We cordially invite you to join us on an atmospheric journey, where we discover the wonderful match of curtain and fashion through the eyes of Christy Wong – the founder and Art Director of BAAGUS.
Twelve unique sets of surprises will be unveiled every Tuesday, where Christy reveals her tremendous self-designed curtains with unique pairings and the distinctive home aesthetic value each of them brings.
The sixth chapter of BAAGUS Dance with Curtain series – “The Spring Waltz” brings you on a journey to discover beauty in everyday life. When life is complemented by little rituals and ceremonies, daily living is no longer just about seeing each day passed, but truly living in the present. Just like how simple tweaks to a mundane routine can light up your day, doing things differently brings a new outlook and meaning to ordinary living.
“We all need a little sense of ceremony in life, don’t we?” Christy smiled as she laid her gaze on the curtains. The sheer curtains softened the glare of the sunlight, gently agreeing with her.
To Christy, the sense of ceremony matters. The formality she chases does not need to be massive or complicated – Simple celebrations like getting herself a bouquet, switching up home curtains, or even inviting friends over for a cuppa… These modest events bring warmth and a sense of fulfilment that enriches everyday life.
Regardless of what or how it is done, putting that extra effort to create an atmosphere that one enjoys living in motivates Christy. It is with the pursuit to live finely that she designed the sixth chapter of BAAGUS Dance with Curtain series – “The Spring Waltz”.
The moving melody from “The Spring Waltz” conveys an elegant charm and hope. Just like the sun after the rain, this curtain was inspired by the warmer days and hopeful feeling that come along with spring. Where flowers bloom and greeneries grow, all lives begin to wake and heal in the comforting atmosphere brought by spring, expressing their true selves freely again.
Clean, pure, and soft – The beige colour of the curtain matched with a white checkered sheer elevates the space with an uplifting modern elegance, politely filtering the beams of sunlight that travel through it.
The combination of light shades naturally adds a gentle, romantic touch to the space. It creates a unique sense of sophistication just like the captivating French style living. It calms the heart and the mind, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the gentle and comforting environment.
In the extravagant world of French style living, dark green is another classic and expressive colour that is well suited with everything it matches with. The forest green shade is especially suitable for summer – It turns the glaring sun to soothing mellow rays, lingering soft and breezy like an unexplored gem in the garden of Eden, gently being ever-present.
The curtains match perfectly with a contrasting white tablecloth. With delectable snacks placed on a delicate plate, hot sips of English tea and casual conversations with your companions accompanied by lovely music in the background… These are the little ceremonies in life that make living wonderful.
When life is complemented by rituals and ceremonies, day-to-day lives are no longer about seeing each day passing by, but to live and enjoy the present.
Doing things differently brings new experiences and meaning to ordinary living. It should not be a burden, but a reminder to experience the dainty things in everyday lives, living finely with an open heart and mind, eventually leading you to an enriched and fulfilled life.
Let us ignite the passion for everyday living – Proactively explore and shape the ways we sought to live and create the most out of it. At the end of the day we only live once, isn’t it?
Till next we meet again, stay tuned for next Tuesday. The unveiling of the seventh chapter of BAAGUS Dance with Curtain series awaits you. We will see you then.
